I had faith this fall...faith in the Red Sox, and faith in the American people to re-elect George W. Bush. In October my faith in the Red Sox was finally rewarded. This November, my belief that the American people would ultimately show their support for a war-time President was also rewarded. We did not fight historical precedent and blink in the face of a grave threat. As we did in 1864, 1942, etc., the American people bucked up and voted to see this thing through. There really is nothing else to say. The President has won and the American people have clearly given him a mandate, regardless of what his partisan opponents or the media might say. Our leader will continue to lead us through the difficult times ahead: we are lucky to have this man, at this time, to guide our way.
